#ndm12 On my way to to KAI-10, I stopped at KAI-8. It was not on my to-see-list, but you can’t just pass by this extravaganza. The fleshy colours spot you from the distance. Yes, correct - they spot you (not the other way around) and they drag you in! Well, probably not everyone, but those of us who love colour.
#ndm12 Travelling with the bus in the beginning of the Night was an experience on its own. It was so full I got this upside-down sensation. The result was this one photograph. Click. Rotate.
#ndm12 Did I mention that NRW-Forum has a very good museums shop? This photograph was taken there, although it’s so abstract that it could have been taken anywhere:)
#ndm12 My always favourite museum - NRW Froum managed to give me that “butterflies-in-the-stomach-feeling” again! I can’t help it - I fall in love with it every time I visit it:)
#ndm12 El Greco at Museum Kunstpalast was definitively popular, probably a bit too popular, as the line was meandering like a serpentine all the way till NRW-Forum
My first stop was Museum Kunstpalast, which is not only full of beautiful art, but is surrounded by the most magnificent tulips! Looking at how proudly they stand up displaying their beautiful petals to the world, I think they might be well aware of their own magnificence.

I still don’t know how I did it, but I managed to get on the list of the 100 official photobloggers of the Night of the Museums tonight in Düsseldorf. I guess last minute always works! You just lower your expectations and you go for it, without any plan really. Then always something extraordinary happens. It just always does.
So, tonight I’ll be wandering the streets of the beautiful city of Düsseldorf, where last year we had the Communicating the Museum Conference and I’ll be looking for museum coolness for you. And believe me, Düsseldorf has lot’s of it. I’ll be sharing my iPhotos with my Instagram followers, on my Twitter feed and also on this blog.
For more photos and photo-news from the event look for the #ndm12 hashtag on Twitter or follow the official blog: http://nachtdermuseen.tumblr.com/ curated by Daniel Fiene and André Paetzel. And most of all enjoy the live experience of art by night!

I’ve just decided I will apply for an official photoblogger for the NRW night of the museum. If they take me on board I’ll be taking photographs of museum coolness all night long. In Duesseldorf. This Saturday night - 28th of April.
And if they don’t take me?! I think I’ll do it anyways! :)
